Odakyu 8000 Series Train and Romancecar EXE at Odawara Station
Five railroad companies, JR East, JR Central, Odakyu, Hakone Tozan Railway, and Izu Hakone Railway share current Odawara Station. This big roof above Odakyu platform was built in 2003 with the current station. According to the internet, the old Odakyu Odawara Station also had a big roof, and the design of the new big roof is based on it. I tried looking for information on the previous big roof, but I haven't been able to find it yet.
The picture on the platform at the lower right corner of this photo is an Odawara paper lantern. A big Odawara paper lantern exists above the ticket gate of JR East. It is shown in “JR Odawara Station Ticket Gate Floor.”
