Izu-Hakone Railway Dai-yuzan Line Odawara Station

Track No.1 and No.2 of Odawara Station are assigned to Dai-yuzan Line.

The object above the ticket gate is an advertisement of Saijo-ji Temple in Dai-yuzan. “Doryoson,” the word in the ad, is an alias of the temple. The red face with big nose at the center is a tengu, which is the guardian of the temple. According to the legend of the temple, a disciple of the monk who opened the temple helped build the temple and became the guardian.

Dai-yuzan Line was built for people visiting Saijo-ji Temple. But many people use it for commuting to work or school.
