Tsukuba Express TX-2000 Series Train at the South of Kita-senju Station 2

A big insulator is visible in front of a pantograph. The train runs with DC 1500V here and AC 20000V near Tsukuba. Railroads are prohibited from using DC power sources within a 30km radius of Kakioka Magnetic Observatory. Trains of Joban Line have similar equipment for the same reason, for example, “Roof of JR Joban Line E531 Series Train at Shinagawa Station.”
