Hyakunin Isshu No.23 of Yoga Promenade

The poet is Oe-no Chisato. He was a nephew of Ariwara-no Yukihira (poet No.16) and Ariwara-no Narihira (poet No.17)

The first half of the poem describes the author's various melancholy feelings as he looks at the autumn moon, and the second half concludes by saying that the autumn has come for not only him. As the poem progresses, the focus moves from the moon to the author's thoughts, then, back to the world that includes the author. The change of the focus is interesting.
