Hyakunin Isshu No.22 of Yoga Promenade

The poet is Fun’ya-no Yasuhide.

The poem describes autumn plants dying under wind from mountains. It concludes with a play on words: “mountain” and “wind” makes Chinese character “storm,” and the pronunciation of the word “arashi (storm)” is the same as “arashi (damage something).”
