Where the Hirase River Flows into the Tama River

The building in the left half of this photo is part of “Hirase River Purification Plant.” It was built in 1980s, when water of the Hirase River was not clean. The purification plant is not active now, because the water has become clean enough.

The most part of the facility was under the riverbank. The building was at the upstream end of the 800m long plant.
