Crossing on Oga-yato-bashi
The road on the other side of the crossing has area surrounded by guardrails. It is an artificial river (Nikaryo-yosui irrigation canal). This crossing is on a bridge that is 5 meters long and 15 meters wide. The bridge's name “Oga-yato-bashi” is engraved on a plate on the fence.
The roads on both sides of Nikaryo-yosui are one-way. The road sign tells that cars must go along the road on the right side of the artificial river. It may be a little confusing. Cars drive on the left in Japan. On usual crossings, a right-turning car must wait for a straight-ahead vehicle on the opposite direction has gone. On this crossing, a left-turning car must wait. Anyway, there is not much traffic on the road along Nikaryo-yosui.
