This train was manufactured in 1995. It is rumored that Tokyo Metro will make it an eight-car train, adding two cars. When the train retires, the newly added cars will be still fine. It would not be cost effective. Some people says that the “new cars” may be taken from other trains owned by Tokyo Metro.
