JR Chuo Line Iida-bashi Station in 2020 November
Iida-bashi station used to be on a tight curve. It made a big gap between a train and the platform. About ten passengers fell into the gap a year. So, JR East moved the platform 200m toward the west. The new platform opened in 2020 July.
This photo was taken in 2020 November, near the end of the new platform. The curved part ahead is the old platform. East Exit of the station was not moved. So, passengers going to the exit must walk 200m.
