The 3000 series at the right edge of this photo was “wide door type.” Odakyu was trying to widen passenger doors for quicker getting on and off at stations from 1990’s to early 2000’s. Four Five 3000 series trains manufactured in 2001 had 1.6m wide doors. Then, the company gave up the idea. 3000 series trains manufactured after 2002 have 1.3m wide doors. They can be distinguished by the window layout.
