“Q SEAT” Car of Tokyu Oimachi Line 6000 Series

“Q SEAT” is a service started in 2018 December. A passenger needs a seat reservation ticket to get on that orange car. At first, only two 6020 series trains had “Q SEAT” cars. Then, car No.3 of 6000 series train No.1 became “Q SEAT” car in 2019 May, then, 6000 series train No.2 had another “Q SEAT” car in 2019 June. A “Q SEAT” car of a 6020 series train is shown in ‘“Q SEAT” Car of Tokyu 6020 Series Train at Nagatsuta Station’

This photo shows “Q SEAT” car of 6000 series train No.2 stopping at Oimachi Station. The seats were not in “reserved seat” mode. At that time, the first train with “Q SEAT” service left Oimachi at 19:30, one hour after I took this photo.

With the increased capacity, the number of trains with “Q SEAT” service in a day was doubled (from 5 to 10), when Tokyu updated the timetable in 2020 June. However, the service had been suspended in 2020 April due to corona virus pandemic. It restarted in 2020 October.
