Passage in JR Shinjuku Station in 2020 February

This passage was a tunnel in mound under tracks. At that time, the track on the mound was being changed to elevated tracks. It will make a lot of space. When the work finishes, Shinjuku Station will have many shops, I think.

 

Construction work in Shinjuku Station will continue. In 2021 July, JR announced that re-development plan of Shinjuku Station. The project is scheduled to finish in 2047 March.
