New Shibuya Station of Tokyo Metro Ginza Line through the Front Window of 1000 Series Train 5

Trains did not have to change tracks at the old Shibuya Station of Ginza Line. The platform No.1 was for arriving trains, and the platform No.2 was for leaving trains.

 

Tokyo Metro would change the operation for the new Shibuya Station. Platform No.1 and No.2 will have arriving trains and leaving trains.

 

So, I think Tokyo Metro added the scissor crossing in this photo during the construction of the new station.
