Construction Site for Branch Path of Ring Road No.5 Bypass

There is a gap between buildings near the red traffic signal. The space is reserved for Ring Road No.5 bypass. Ring Road No.5’s western half is on Meiji-dori for the most part, but two bypass sections are being built to avoid crowded areas around Major Stations of Yamanote at Shinjuku and Ikebukuro.
The construction site on the road was flat in 2018. In 2021, we see an underpass across the southbound lane in that site.
