Gyotoku-bashi and Gyotoku Movable Weir in 2019 August

Taken at the east of “Edogawa Sluice Gate.”

A bridge called “Gyotoku-bashi” and a water gate called “Gyotoku Movable Weir” exist here. Built in 1956, Gyotoku-bashi was getting old and replacement work was under way. This photo was taken between the new bridge and the old bridge. The object between the two bridges is Gyotoku Movable Weir. It is a weir, not a flood gate. It is usually closed to block sea water and opens to prevent flood.
