View on Komatsugawa-ohashi
Route 14 has two bridges across the Arakawa River here. The eastbound lane is on Komatsugawa-ohashi, and the westbound lane is on Shin-Komatsugawa-ohashi. This photo was taken on Komatsugawa-ohashi.
The name Shin-Komatsugawa-ohashi means New Komatsugawa-ohashi. But Shin-Komatsugawa-ohashi is older than current Komatsu-gawa-ohashi: Shin-Komatsugawa-ohashi was built in 1968, then, old Komatsugawa-ohashi was dismantled and current Komatsugawa-ohashi was completed in 1973.
The junction ahead is Komatsugawa Junction of Shutoko (metropolitan expressway). Shutoko Central Circular Route and Shutoko No.7 cross there.
