A Little Patient Might Have Been Rewarded

This picture was taken in the end of last January.

In the description of “Tokyo Sky Tree and Setting Sun without Mt. Fuji,” I wrote “But cloud in the western sky was hiding Mt. Fuji.” It is true, but the cloud is so thin that the sun is clearly visible through it. If I had waited there for thirty minutes, I could have seen the shadow of Mt. Fuji hiding the setting sun, behind Tokyo Sky Tree. Anyway, I did not know the sun set in the direction of Mt. Fuji that day. So, I did not have any chance.

While I searched the web to find the information about the sunset and Mt. Fuji, I found that some people love to capture the view of the sun setting at the top of Mt. Fuji. They call it “diamond Fuji”, named after “diamond ring” of the total eclipse. In Tokyo, “diamond Fuji” can be seen at the end of January and the beginning of November.

Other pictures of Tokyo Sky Tree with the setting sun is shown in “281Meter-High Candle” and “Tokyo Sky Tree and Grab Dredger under Setting Sun.”
