JASDF UH-60 in Yokota Friendship Festival 2018

The letter on the green boxes on the tail say “CHAFF” and “FLARE L/N.” Chaff is small metal pieces to confuse enemy radar. Flare is substance to confuse infrared sensor of a missile. It seems that “L” of “L/N” means just left side, because there is a photo on the web showing the green box on the right side with letters “FLARE R/N.” I do not know what “N” means.
