Iwabuchi Floodgate

Iwabuchi Floodgate is located where the Sumida River branches from the Arakawa River. If the water level of the Arakawa River becomes too high, the gate is closed to protect the city center.

 

The red gate is the old gate, which is not used now. The blue gate behind it is the new gate that is used currently.
