Close-up View of Tokyo Port Seaside Bridge Construction Work
This is close-up view of the construction work shown in “Tokyo Port Seaside Bridge Construction Work on 2010 May 16th.”
In this work, a new piece of truss is going to be added to the bridge. The problem is that there is no support at the end of the new part. The floating crane will hold the piece until the work is done, but floating crane itself moves on the sea. So I did not understand how they are going to fix the new piece to the bridge.
There are some green steel structures among the pale violet truss structure. I think the green structure will bind the new piece and the bridge so that the connected section would be stable. That is only my guess, and I may be wrong. But it makes sense.
