Floating Crane Musashi Holding Piece of Truss Bridge
Construction of the center part of Tokyo Port Seaside Bridge began. The part is relatively long so that the ships could go through it. So they do not put the part as one piece. First, they extend the already built truss structure by attaching another piece. The piece is 113m long and weighs 2,500t. After the work is done for both sides, the center beam will be put between them.
This photo shows the work on the first part. The 3700t floating crane, “Musashi”, held the truss structure until the fixing work finished. The work took almost one day.
