Four Cranes Working at Western Site

Photos of Tokyo Monorail track-switching-work on April 10th continue.

This picture shows the four cranes at the western site. They are working as two pairs. Between the pairs is a steel-made long span track. The cranes do not remove it. It will be jacked up and moved sideways onto the scaffold in the blue net.

Unlike the long span track shown in "Old and New Long Steel Track", there is no orange jacks standing under it. The reason is this one is a straight track, and the other one is a curved track. If you lift up a straight track about several centimeters, it is enough to move it. You do not need large jacks here. On the other hand, several centimeters are not enough for a curved track, because the outer edge is longer than the interval between supports, and cannot go through it. You have to lift the track up until its bottom surface is above the top of the supports.
