Tama-suido-bashi Arch, Odakyu Line Tama River Bridge and Shukugawara Weir
Odakyu line bridge is hiding Tama-suido-bashi body. The water falling over a step under the bridge is Shukugawara Weir.
The area I am standing was destroyed by flood in 1974. After heavy rain brought by a typhoon, the water flow bent by the weir hit the bank. It washed out the embankment and houses. Japan Self Defense had to blow the weir out to stop the flood. It is well-known disaster in Japan.
