Correlation between Rust and Twist

These beams were laid at the place shown in "Steel Beams Pulled out from Embankment".

 

Rustier beams seem more twisted. Perhaps they are harder to be pulled out so that more power would have been required. Or they may be easier to bend so that the same power would have made them more twisted.
