Crossing near JR Kawasaki Station

Overpass or underpass is used often for a road with heavy traffic. Main lanes go up to a bridge or go down to a tunnel, and a lane goes on the ground for cars to turn onto another road.

The lane to turn onto another road cannot be on the ground here, because there are JR tracks along a road. Therefore, it descends in a trench toward the road below, while the main lane goes on the ground. The unusual configuration makes an interesting sight.
