Odakyu 4000 Series Train Going through Yoyogi-hachiman Station 7
Odakyu 4000 series is based on E233 series. But the roof looks like E235 series. E233 series has “a step” near the edge of the roof, from the top to the tail. The step was shortened for Odakyu 4000 series and E235 series, just beside the air conditioning unit.
Note added on 2018/8/17: Well, I found that the step on the roof was not removed like E235 series. It was just moved toward the center several centimeters. Tokyo Metro’s underground railroad has smaller width limit for trains, so the steps on the roof was moved, but it cannot be moved in the area beside the air conditioning unit. E233-2000 series has manufactured under the Tokyo Metro limit, and the step on the roof is designed like Odakyu 4000 series.
