Fokker F7b

Another historical plane on the parapet of Anamori-bashi.

 

I had to look up the web for a while to understand why they put this plane here.

 

Fokker F.VIIb was used by many airliners in the late 1920s. Southern Cross, the plane achieved the first trans-pacific flight, was this plane. But it was in 1928, not 1929 written here.

 

1929 is the year Japan Air Transport Corporation started regular passenger service, and JAT used Fokker F.VIIb. So I think that is the reason, but I am not sure.
