Space after Gold-gai Removed
This photo was taken under elevated railroad of JR Chuo Line, at the east of Asagaya Station. There was a shopping street called “Gold-gai” under the elevated railroad. It was closed in 2015 June due to seismic reinforcement work of the elevated railroad.
This photo was taken in 2016 December. Recently, new shopping mall operated by associated company of JR East opened in 2017 July.
Note on 2017/9/27: At first, I translated “Gold-gai” to “Gold Street” because “gai” is Japanese word for street. But it appears that there already is “Gold Street” at the east to “Gold-gai” area. So, I gave up translate the name into English.
