ANA B777 JA705A Going to Land at Haneda Airport 2
JA705A was one of specially painted planes, but it was very hard to notice. A small flower and name “AMAKUSA” is painted near the Japanese flag on the rear half. It is an ad for Amakusa City in Kumamoto Prefecture. The flower is “hamabo,” which is the city’s symbol flower.
Information on web says that this was the eighth ANA plane with such ads. In addtion to the flower and the name, a pamphlet describing the city was offered to each passenger.
A webpage of ANA says the campaign for Amakusa City was finished on 2016 June 30th (though this photo was taken on July 30th). Currently, campaigns for Satsuma-sendai City in Kagoshima Prefecture, Kimotsuki City of Kagoshima Prefecture, and Toyama City in Toyama Prefecture are held.
