Shuetsu Font in Nippori Station
This sign exists in JR Nippori station. Currently, people cannot see the destination in the station because of construction work. The sign tells the directions in the station.
What is interesting about these letters is they are not printed. They are made of package tapes. They are called "Shuetsu Font".
"Shuetsu" is the name of the person who invented it. He was controlling the traffic of the people in Shinjuku station in 2004. When he thought it was impossible to guide the many people with voice, he made guideboards. And they were excellent.
