Distant View of Shio-saki-bashi Crossing
The broad road is a temporary end of a road now under construction, which is called "MacArthur Road". When the plan of the road firstly appeared after World War II, people rumored it was planned by GHQ (General Headquarters, the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers) and named it after the general.
There is an extension plan for the "MacArthur Road". When it is carried out, the space at the center is going to be an entrance of a tunnel. It will be connected to Toyosu-ohashi, which is now under construction, too.
There is another "island" behind the yellow taxi. The picture "Signals Work at Shio-saki-bashi Crossing" was taken from there.
