Rail Yard of Toei Subway in Nishi-magome

"Toei" means it is owned by Bureau of Transportation of Tokyo Metropolitan Government. They have a rail yard in Nishi-magome. It is not so large for a rail yard, but it is still impressive in the crowded residential area in Tokyo.

The red train is E5000 series electric locomotive. They are never used in normal subway operation, because every subway train in Japan has its motor and does not need locomotive to run. However, Toei Oedo Line train is a linear motor car and cannot run without the facility along the rail. When the train comes to this rail yard, the red locomotive tows it.

Information on web says that this rail yard has some facility to maintain both normal electric train and linear motor car, for example, height adjustable power line.
