Observation Facility along Tama River

This shed stands near Maruko-bashi. Though I do not know the purpose of this building, the purpose of the scale on its support is easy to guess. It is to measure the water level of the Tama River. The river looks too far and you may think it is impossible that the water reaches here. But it happens once or twice a year.
