Fire Truck and Ring Road No.8 at the Western End of Haneda Airport
This day, a JAL B767 returned to Haneda due to bird strike. This photo was taken when the plane was heading to Haneda. The fire trucks in this photo should be on the way to runway just in case for emergency.
The fire department in Haneda is located beyond the curve. It is interesting that the airport is at the left edge of this photo, but the trucks were running toward the reverse direction. They must make hundred-eighty degree turn near the right edge of this photo. The route between the fire department and the runway was straight. But Ring Road No.8 was changed during construction of new international terminal and D-runway. Maybe the current layout is temporary: The route may be changed, or the fire department may be moved someday.
