Haneda D-runway Construction Site

New runway called "D" is being built on the sea at the south of Haneda airport.

Cranes at the right of the picture look small, but they are huge. There are only six floating cranes larger than 3000t in Japan, and two of them are in this picture.

28th Yoshida-go, the L-shaped crane near the right edge, was much taller 3000t floating crane. It was altered for this construction to keep the height limit around the airport. Musashi, the one at the left of 28th Yoshida-go, is a 3600t floating crane.

The tower with blue and white stripes at the right edge is "Tower of Wind" which is ventilating system of Tokyo bay Aqua-line undersea tunnel.
