Keio 9000 Series Train over Ring Road 6.5
Keio 9000 series is made of stainless steel. The first stainless steel train in Japan was built by Tokyu Car Corporation in 1962 under license from Budd Company, an American metal fabricator. Stainless steel trains in those days used corrugated plate, but recent trains use flat plate. There should be some technology progress behind the change, but I do not know it.
