This photo shows the devices on the roof of the first car. The slim cylinder is emergency flare device. The upside-down-L-shaped object and the two cylinders are antennas for wireless communication. The cylinder-shaped antenna are used on JR section, one of the two is backup. The upside-down-L-shaped antenna is used on Odakyu section.
