Tunnel under JR Track at the West of Tachikawa Station

I visited a tunnel at the east of Tachikawa Station in 2010. The tunnel’s wall was full of dotted pattern. One of photos is shown in “.” When I was searching information of the tunnel before I uploaded the photo to Flickr, I found that there was also a tunnel with public art at the western end of the station. So, I visited Tachikawa again in 2013.

 

This is the south entrance of the tunnel. The red letters at the left side of the slope tell people to push their bikes or motorbikes here.
