Tobu Rail Yard at the Bottom of Tokyo Sky Tree
The place where Tokyo Sky Tree was built was a rail yard of Tobu Railway Co., Ltd. The rail yard was not removed completely. Though it became much smaller, it still exists at the bottom of the tower.
Many photos in my photostream were taken around this rail yard. For example, I took photos of Tokyo Sky Tree construction in front of the rent-a-car shop with the red roof at the other side of the rail yard: “Tokyo Sky Tree under Construction in July 2009,” “Tokyo Sky Tree at the End of 2009,” “Tokyo Sky Tree in May 2010,” “Tokyo Sky Tree in July 2010,” and “Tokyo Sky Tree in October 2011.” The railroad crossing at the right end of this photo is shown in “Tobu 6050 Series Train in Oshiage.”
