Nanbu Line 205 Series Train at Inagi-naganuma No.2 Crossing
This photo was taken at the west of Inagi-naganuma Station. This crossing is one of the crossings removed recently due to grade separation project of Nanbu Line.
The train’s front is different from normal 205 series. Normally, 205 series looks like the train shown in “JR Nanbu Line 205 Series Train Leaving Musashi-mizonokuchi Station.” The first car was once used as an intermediate car of a Yamanote Line train. Since Yamanote Line’s train has 11 cars and Nanbu Line’s train has 6 cars, some intermediate cars had to be modified into first cars.
Recently, JR East announced that they will start to replace 205 series of Nanbu Line with E233 series in 2014 July.
