Monument in JR Tokyo Synthesis Vehicle Center

The panel in front of the object says it was created when JR Tokyo Synthesis Vehicle Center opened. The panel beside the object displays the history of Yamanote Rail Yard and Oi Factory. The two facilities were merged and became Tokyo Synthesis Vehicle Center in 2004.
