Wayne Toups and ZydeCajun revolutionized Cajun music in the 80s by bring rock elements into his sound. Many young players today got their ideas about music, as teenagers, from Wayne's big albums. This year's Festivals Acadiens was dedicated to Wayne Toups for his contribution to Cajun music and he closed out the weekend on the front stage. Toups was also inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame.
