African Lion, Zoo Atlanta, Atlanta, Georgia

Zoo Atlanta has three male lions, brothers. This may be Hondo, the dominant male, born in November 2013. He was very vocal while I was photographing him, and he came right up to me and was perhaps five feet away. He seemed restless. A lion sleeps about 20 hours a day, so maybe it was his time to hunt on the savannah, and I looked tasty.
