The Tekija itself was built during the reign of the Mostar muftija Zijaudin-Ahmed-ibni Mustafa.
The turbe next to tekija , where two toombstone lie today was built after 1644, the year in which Evlija Celebija , the famous Ottoman time traveller and writer passed thought this region. The toombstone protect the remnants of Sari-Saltuk and Acik-pasha-longterm sheikh of this Tekija.
In 1851 , Omer – Pasha Latas repaired the Tekija and the musafirhana, and since 1952, the Tekija has been protected by the State.
