Random Shot - Mount Cheam
I am driving south on the TransCanada Highway towards Vancouver and am half way between Hope and Chilliwack. As I round a bend in the highway I see Mount Cheam rising up from the valley floor. I leave the highway and take a series of three shots from an overpass. Mount Cheam is 2104 m high and is in the Cascade Mountains of southern British Columbia. This north face plunges 2000 meters to the valley floor and is rarely climbed. However an easy trail provides access to the summit from a subalpine bowl to the southwest.
