COVID-19: Caritas Hong Kong
Volunteers from Caritas Hong Kong set up a project to design and sew cloth masks for people in need to respond to the lack of surgical face masks in the market.
Hong Kong was one of the first places to be hit by the COVID-19 (Coronavirus epidemic) outside mainland China.
After two months of stringent public health measures, the densely-packed island has managed to avoid mass contagion from the disease.
Caritas Hong Kong has kept up emergency services, while avoiding group gatherinings. They continued helping the poor and vulnerable and trying to keep spirits up by using social media and modern techology.
