As part of CRS' emergency shelter response, CRS staffers Arnoldo Arcadio (in dark blue CRS shirt), Sarah Gilbert (in white CRS shirt with hat) and volunteer Annabelle Dadia (in blue hat) walk through a community in Ormoc, going door to door to assess damage done to homes by Typhoon Hiayan. Before distributing emergency shelter items, such as tarps and tools, CRS verifies the list of beneficiaries to make sure those who are truly in need are the ones who receive assistance.

Ormoc and the surrounding area were struck by Typhoon Haiyan on November 8, 2013. It is considered the strongest storm ever to make landfall.
