UCCS Kraemer Family Library
Banned Books Week Display 2016
Banned Books week celebrates our freedom to read by highlighting those books that have been banned, challenged, or even burned here in the United States and around the world due to their content or subject matter. This display features some of the books in the Kraemer Family Library’s collection that have been banned or challenged in schools or communities across the U.S. We encourage you to help celebrate Banned Books Week 2016 (Sept. 25-Oct. 1) by reading a banned book. You can check-out one of the books in this display, or find a title in the American Library Association’s list of 100 most frequently challenged books: www.ala.org/bbooks/frequentlychallengedbooks/top100.
