90/365 America F*ck Yeah! :)
Don’t hate me…
But I hate politics. I hate talking about it, I hate listening to people talk about it and most of all I hate the division and strife it seems to cause between perfectly rational people But since so many people asked I thought I would show my support for my candidate in this election…
Now that that’s out of the way, I wanted to say that I couldn’t be more proud of my country today. Considering that just a few short years ago our country was divided over whether or not blacks and whites should be allowed to go to the same schools, drink out of the same water fountains or even sit in the same seats on the bus. And yet yesterday we elected a black president in what was pretty much a land slide victory. Although he wasn’t my candidate, I do believe his being elected was a positive thing and I’m glad to be a witness to it. I know Mr Obama was a beacon of hope to a lot of people and I pray that if nothing else that hope brings some healing to this country and to the entire world. I’m tired of being surrounded by worry and depression.
(PS – “None of the above” does not mean I voted for Nader!)
