August Newbees sample block
i'm making a quilt for my daughter grace for her baptism in a few months and she said she wanted a "flower" theme. she loves dogs so i wanted to incorporate that in my block as well.
background is "jade green" by moda bella solids {grace's "favorite" color} with a pieced dog and raw-edge applique flower and embroidery.
for the record, this is the 3rd version of the block i've come up with and i think i'm finally done! hahahaha. it's always the flower that has been rearranged, and i'm finally sold on using the kona "pomegranate" solid for the outlined center of the sunflower.
i'm pretty much up for anything goes with this bee block so long as "flowers" are somehow represented and the jade is used as the background. (or at least as the most predominate color in the block.) i'm excited to see the variety! :)
